Since Mike lives in Asylum Hill making it very easy to walk to Downtown, we typically spend at least one and more often two nights out in Hartford. Now that I’m working at a new office in “Downtown South,” it’s been more like three nights a week.
Lucky for us, this development perfectly coincided with this year’s Taste of Hartford. For an exceedingly reasonable $20.12 we enjoyed awesome, 3-course meals at Dish, Firebox, Max Downtown, and Peppercorns, and we’re heading back to Firebox for a second time tonight. In short, we have serious Taste of Hartford Fever. Not only has the food been tremendous (the salmon entree at Firebox and the cod entree at Dish have been my favorites), the evening strolls through downtown have been pretty nice, too.
