I have never had a bad time at Sharpe Hill. Well… except one time Mike and I brought about a dozen friends for an afternoon at the winery and we brought our own snacks. The famously cantankerous owner yelled at us for bringing outside food when they have a restaurant.
A few things to note about Sharpe Hill:
- It takes about a month to get a reservation at their restaurant,
- Said restaurant is known for high-end entrees, not crackers and cheese,
- I had been there with a smaller group three weeks earlier and we brought an entire cooler of snacks and they said nothing.
But aside from those unpleasant five minutes a few years ago, I have never regretted spending time at Sharpe Hill. We’ve eaten there once before and both times the food was delicious. Now that I’ve been making a bigger effort to cook at home, I am so much more picky about restaurant food. Sharpe Hill is one of the restaurants that still passes the muster and this wintertime lunch was no different. Highly recommended as a wintertime treat.
